I have always enjoyed painting and drawing throughout my working life, but, as with many people, earning a living gets in the way. 

Having spent three years part-time study at Bury Arts and Craft Centre in Bury, Lancs. years ago, this fired my enthusiasm and made me paint whenever I had the chance.

My work has been mainly oils, watercolour and pastel, but I have recently become enthusiastic about acrylics and find the advantage of their quick drying nature most helpful.

My favourite subjects are old boats, tractors, buildings etc. where I feel that age has actually increased their visual appearance.  Whether it is the creeping rust or covering of seaweed or flaking paint.  It all appeals to me. 

Having said all that I also love nature and the landscape of the countryside, particularly in Worcestershire, where I now reside.
