Acrylic on canvas (50 x 39cms - 20 x 16ins approx.)
This cottage is on a little lane in the woods where I often walk. It has been modernised and greatly extended but I like to imagine what it was like originally. One aspect that has not changed is the lane itself, which is still a dark worcestershire earth surface, complete with puddles after rain. The setting is in mid spring, with an abundance of wild garlic growing.
